EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

In 2004, the Family YMCA expanded child care programming by establishing it’s Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC). The ECDC, licensed by the Department of Public Welfare with the capacity for 110 children, delivers quality, affordable programming to accommodate full day child care for children six weeks through five years of age and a full day Kindergarten program licensed by the Department of Education. In 2006, ECDC moved into new, larger facilities with licensing capacity of 165 children, 8 classrooms, an indoor playroom, classroom bathrooms, a fenced in toddler and preschool playground and pavilion area. |

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE PROGRAMS

In 1998 Before and After School Child Care programs, licenses by the Department of Public Welfare for 133 children, were created to service six elementary schools in the Easton Area School District. Over the course of three years, the School Age Child Care (SACC) Program evolved to provide programming for children ages three and four for part-time Nursery School, an half day Kindergarten program and a middle school program for children in grades five through eight. In 2006, the Family YMCA created additional program space with their new expansion increasing licensing capacity to 302 children. The Family YMCA’s main campus utilizes the indoor pool, gym, community room, two modular classrooms, playground and an outdoor basketball court for daily programming throughout the year. |

CLAIRE E. CHURCHMAN KIWANIS FAMILY YMCA DAY CAMP

In 1954, the Family YMCA began to establish a variety of youth and teen programs to include day camp. To date, day camp services 175+ children ages three to seventeen with programs that include ten weeks of Preschool Camp, Youth Camp, Leaders in Training, Counselors in Training, Specialty Camps and Adventure Camps. Day Camp is hosted at the Family YMCA main campus utilized indoor and outdoor program areas. A variety of activity choices are offered weekly relating to a weekly theme, including optional swim lessons and a daily recreational swim at Walters Park Pool. |
